The Night Is a Living Poem
The moon is round and bright.
A confetti of stars lie scattered
in the sky, their soft glow
illuminates the night.
Geese wing north-bound, honking
encouragement as they fly.
The ocean rolls in the distance;
a lone moth flutters by.
And in the garden a hedgehog
snuffles, searching out snails
for its tea,
As a warm breeze gently brushes
my hair and the night wraps
its arms around me.
